Cardiology has drastically changed in the past decade and has truly adopted addressing not only heart conditions but a comprehensive approach of treating and managing vascular disease systemically. As an Interventional Cardiologist, I am enthusiastic to offer my patients comprehensive complete vascular management and treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease in addition to coronary artery disease.
Although medication, devices, and stent technology continues to improve and assist in treatment of atherosclerotic disease, a holistic approach including dieting, exercise, abstinence from smoking, and healthy living are still paramount in overcoming this disease process. We as physicians are only 50% of the answer, you as patients are the other 50%.
